Memes, anyone?

You've seen them, you've heard them, you even talked about them. Or at least that's me. I'm referring to an internet sensation, which is the internet memes. Basically, the term Internet meme is used to describe a concept that spreads via the Internet.

I may have encountered them a few times before this, but the frequency increased after I joined Tumblr. And I really found them cool and entertaining. There are many variation of memes, such as this group of characters.

Many of these characters are used in comic strips, take this for example:

Some even make fun of the things that happened around the world. Remember what Kanye West did to Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards? You sure did, just like everyone else, it his antics has turned into a viral internet meme at that time, with the famous line: "Yo, I'm happy for you, Imma let you finish, but.."
